My favorite things to do on the island are grabbing a bite to eat at Doc Ford’s and observing the bountiful wildlife. My favorite planting here in our garden is the African Tulip Tree.

I was an “Airforce Brat”, born in Spain, lived in Japan, Hawaii, Colorado, and Nebraska before moving here to join my parents and go to college for an accounting degree in my early 20’s. Now you couldn’t pry me from Fort Myers! I started my career working for a local CPA firm who had (and still has) as one of their clients…guess…Sanibel Moorings! Throughout the next 30+ years, I had often been involved with the resort in one way or another through the firm. In late 2012 I joined the team officially and have been happily here ever since! Every day I am here on the property I take the time to enjoy the gardens (especially the Hibiscus) and the sound of the surf. I wonder why anyone would stay where it is cold and not move to paradise!!
I am originally from Mexico. My friend had told me about the magical island of Sanibel after visiting a few times. I decided to move here in 1996. My favorite restaurant is Doc Fords. If I had to pick a favorite activity it would definitely be jet skiing! The Mango Tree is my favorite plant here on property.
