Sanibel Moorings - Activities

Sanibel Island and the Moorings offers any size family a large variety of activities including shelling, swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, tennis, and bicycling at our condo vacation resort, to the shopping, dining, wildlife excursions, theater, museums, and art galleries, on Sanibel and Captiva Islands.

In fact, a variety of dining opportunities await you:
• Superlative restaurants with award winning cuisine
• Family style dining
• Casual dining
• Take out, or
• Pick up the necessary supplies at one of the on-island supermarkets and then return to the use the fully equipped kitchen or one of the gas grills in our courtyard.

Alternatively if boating and fishing are more to your liking then visit one of the nearby marinas, and since Sanibel Moorings has its own dockage on the property feel free to tie up right here. Tarpon, snook and sea trout are just 3 readily caught in season. In fact, the waters around Sanibel Island are often included in a list of the top 5 tarpon fishing areas in the world. Of course you can fish on the beach, off our docks or at a nearby pier if that is more to your taste.

If golf is your passion then please check with the office for a map that shows a substantial number of golf courses within a twenty minute drive, there are even some on the island that are open to the public.
